Cartier Santos Ronde / Octogonale

The Cartier Santos Ronde (also known as the Octogonale) offers a distinctive take on the Santos design, translating its aviation-inspired origins into a softer, rounded octagonal form. This 1992 small ladies’ model combines stainless steel with yellow-gold screws and bezel, a two-tone aesthetic long associated with the Santos line.

Created in 1904 when Louis Cartier designed a wristwatch for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Santos became a pioneering piece in watchmaking history. This elegant variation carries that legacy in a more delicate, refined interpretation.

The silvered dial features Cartier’s Roman numerals, a detailed minute track and blue hands, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Its integrated bracelet echoes the case with alternating gold screws, while a discreet date window at 3 o’clock adds everyday practicality.
